Monday Shopping: 90% Savings at Publix!

I had a huge windfall of coupons yesterday from my local coupon trading group, my MIL, and my Sunday paper! I wanted to pick up the penny item at Publix, and ended up saving 90%! (Isn't always easier to get those big % savings on the smaller orders?)

That's quite a bit of food for $3.66 plus tax!

4 x Yoplait Yo Plus @ $1.25 each - $1 Qs = 25 c each

1 x Yoplait Fiber One Yogurt @ $1.25 each - $1 Q = 25 c each

1 roll Bounty Paper Towels $1.25 - 25c Q doubled - 50c Target Q = 25 c

2 x Newman's Own Salsa @ $2 - 50c Q doubled = $1 each

2 x Starbucks ice cream @ $1.80 each - $2 Q = FREE plus overage!

1 Margaret Holmes field peas $1 - 35c Q doubled = 30c

Kelloggs Frosted Mini Wheats $1.95 - $1 Q = 95 c

Fisher Snack Mix 90c - $1 Q = FREE Plus overage

Publix Vanilla Wafers 1c (penny item for this week.)

Bananas 41c

Total spent: $3.66 plus tax
Total saved: $32.45 (store & vendor coupons, store sales, and Advantage Buy)
Total Savings: 90%

Hmmm.... how about a "banana pudding" dessert with vanilla yogurt, bananas, and vanilla wafers?

  2. I was impressed with the Publix cookies. I have a preconceived notion that store brand will taste like cardboard, but I was very surprised at how good they tasted.

I was thinking banana pudding also
